A Handmade Saddle is an investment that should last for generations with proper care & use. These saddles are made in a traditional manner. Each piece is cut from the appropriate part of the hide, wet and formed to the tree, the stirrup leathers are stretched and turned, skirts are blocked, etc.......no shortcuts!
From the high end rawhide covered wood tree*, approximately 2 1/2 sides of Hermann Oak leather, the bark tanned sheepskin, and the handtied mohair cinch........nothing has replaced these natural materials and traditional methods for fit, form and function. These saddles were made on either a Nikkel tree or a Glenn Christman tree.
